About the Position

We are looking for a highly experienced accounting specialist/consolidation accountant for a project with a larger municipal organization in Gothenburg. The assignment is a result of a key person in the organization moving on to a new position, and a consulting solution is needed immediately to ensure an orderly handover. The role involves overall responsibility for group accounting, qualified accounting issues, and tax matters, as well as close collaboration with the CFO and management. The organization is extensive and complex, and the assignment therefore requires solid experience in consolidation, K3, tax management, and qualified reporting.

The position includes the following tasks:

• Responsible for independently preparing and ensuring the quality of group accounting and consolidation
• Ensure quality and structure in monthly and quarterly financial statements (and, in the event of an extension, also annual financial statements)
• In collaboration with the CFO, prepare and ensure the quality of monthly and quarterly reports as well as annual reports and financial reports
• Manage complex accounting issues according to K3 regulations.
• Handle tax calculations, deferred tax, etc., and provide support to the group in corporate tax and VAT matters
• Provide support to the CFO and management as well as to subsidiaries in accounting, tax, and reporting issues
• Contact with external auditors, internal audit, and support during audits
• Ongoing improvement of processes, controls, and reporting structure
• Reporting from underlying companies in the group and consolidation carried out in IBM Cognos Controller

Assignment Period and Scope:

The position as accounting manager for a government agency in Gothenburg is a consulting assignment with a workload of at least 70 percent and up to 100 percent as agreed, starting immediately. The assignment is expected to last for approximately four (4) to eight (8) months, until the replacement recruitment has been completed and a full handover has taken place.

There is an opportunity for remote work up to 50 percent as agreed with the manager.

Requirements for the Position:

• University degree in a relevant field or equivalent education
• At least seven (7) years of work experience in accounting within larger companies and/or complex group structures, of which at least four (4) years in group accounting.
• Very good knowledge of K3 regulations and experience in making advanced technical accounting assessments, including at least three years with group financial statements according to K3.
• Very good knowledge and at least four (4) years of experience in independently/being responsible for operationally carrying out consolidation, cash flow analysis, and group reporting.
• Very good knowledge and at least three (3) years of practical experience working in the group reporting system IBM Cognos Controller.
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
